Katamarayudu USA Collections: Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is back with Katamarayudu which marks the first ever release of the actor this year. Directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani, Katamarayudu features Shruti Haasan in the female lead’s role and Ali, Siva Balaji, Ajay, Chaitanya Krishna, Kamal Kamaraj in the other pivotal roles. Touted to be a village based family entertainer, Katamarayudu is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Veeram. The movie released all over on March 24th during summer and the film received decent response from the audience. The film opened to packed houses after being released in record number of screens.
The movie even received exceptional response across the USA after being released in over 230 screens. Katamarayudu crossed 1 million USD mark in three days which is decent. The movie collected 1.2 million USD in USA in first three days which is huge. Pawan Kalyan’s performance along with his traditional attire have been widely praised by the audience. Anup Rubens composed the music and Sharat Marar produced the film on North Star Entertainments banner. The movie minted over Rs 30 crores in its first weekend across the Telugu speaking states.
