Star writer Vakkantham Vamsi is making his debut as director with this film and Bunny essays the role of a soldier in the film. Anu Emmanuel is the female lead in this high voltage action entertainer that is made on a huge budget. There are strong speculations across the Tollywood circles currently that Na Peru Surya has been inspired from a Hollywood movie.
There are talks that Na Peru Surya has been inspired from a 2002 Hollywood film Antwone Fisher which is inspired from a book titled Finding Fish. The movie unit has been tight-lipped about the speculations and it is still unclear if Na Peru Surya has been inspired from Antwone Fisher. The entire shoot of Na Peru Surya will be wrapped up by the end of next month. Bankrolled by Lagadapati Sridhar, Naga Babu and Bunny Vaas, Na Peru Surya has been slated for summer release this year.
