Superstar Rajinikanth is all set with his next outing 2.0 which is directed by Shankar. Though it is not the sequel for Robo, the same theme has been revised and 2.0 has been made on a massive budget of Rs 400 crores. Amy Jackson is the female lead and Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of the lead antagonist in the movie. 2.0 has been slated for January 25th release next year during the Republic Day weekend as Shankar wanted enough time for the post-production work.
Now the latest news we hear is that the film’s release has been pushed to April 13th 2018 during summer next year as the CG work of the film has been delayed. Shankar is not in a mood to compromise and he will announce the release date officially. The audio of 2.0 has been unveiled in a lavish event in Dubai and Lyca Productions are bankrolling this prestigious project.
