Ilayathalapathy Vijay pinned all his hopes on Mersal and the film released all over across Tamil on October 18th. The movie has been dubbed into Telugu and has been announced for release on October 19th but it failed to hit the screens. Titlted Adhirindhi, the film faced censor issues which left the release kept on hold. Vijay wanted to make his mark with the film which left him in deep disappointment.
Now the makers announced that the Telugu version of the film will hit the screens on October 26th. Atlee is the director of the movie and Samantha, Kajal, Nithya Menen played the female leads. Top producer Sharat Marar is releasing Adhirindhi across the Telugu states AP and Telangana. However Mersal has been running with packed houses all over and is the biggest opener of Vijay till date.
