Oxygen Movie Review

Manly Star Gopichand is one of the finest Telugu actors. His long delayed film Oxygen is hitting the screens today which has been directed by AM Jothi Krishna. Rashi Khanna and Amu Emmanuel are the female leads. Here is the complete review of Oxygen:

Story:

Oxygen is the story of an NRI named Krishna Prasad (Gopichand) who returns back to the country after he decides to marry a village girl Sruthi (Rashi Khanna). Things change completely after a series of deaths take place in her family. The rest of Oxygen is all about how is Krishna Prasad related to those murders and how he saves many lives. Watch Oxygen to know about the complete story.

Analysis:

Oxygen as expected has a pale and boring first half. The director made sure nothing much has been revealed throughout and managed to entertain the audience with songs and the love track laced with a comedy episode. The interval episode makes the film interesting and the first half of Oxygen offers nothing.

The second half of Oxygen is an utter disappointment as it has nothing much to offer. The action episodes have been balancing but the film fails to make an impact. Most of the episodes look predictable and they remind us of previous commercial films. The climax has been decent and on the whole Oxygen is one more disappointment from Gopichand.

Performance:

Gopichand delivers out his career’s best performance with Oxygen. He has been flawless throughout and shined with perfection. Rashi Khanna steals the show with her stunning presence and she has been assigned a character that has scope to perform. Anu Emmanuel has been decent in the limited role and Jagapathi Babu once again shines in his role. All the other actors have been decent.

The story of Oxygen looks completely predictable and the screenplay looks outdated. The dialogues make no impact on the audience and the songs fails to impress the audience. The background score has been apt and the cinematography makes the film colourful. The production values have been lavish and AM Jothi Krishna fails once again as a director.

Verdict:

Oxygen is a routine and predictable action entertainer that can be given a huge skip. Gopichand shines with perfection in the assigned role.
