96 remake is made in Telugu as Jaanu. Prem Kumar directed the movie and it featured Sharwanand, Samantha in the lead roles. Jaanu released all over yesterday and registered decent openings all over. The film collected a theatrical share of Rs 2.20 crores on its first day. It performed well across the multiplexes and A centres. The film remained low across the C centres. The theatrical rights of Jaanu are valued at Rs 20 crores.
