Awe Movie Review

Awe Movie Review

Natural Star Nani is making his debut as producer with Awe. Prasanth Varma is making his debut as director with the film and Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Regina Cassandra, Eesha Rebba, Murali Sharma, Srinivas Avasarala and Priyadarshi played important roles in the film. Wall Poster Cinema bankrolled the film which is hitting the screens today. Here is the film’s complete review:

Story:

Awe is all about the story of different people who are into different professions. A woman, a chef, a couple who decide to get married, a magician, a drug addict and a enthusiastic scientist. With lot of narration about the characters, the film brings them on to a common platform. Without spilling out much about the plot, we are here to review the film. Watch Awe to know about the real concept behind the film.

Analysis:

The first half of Awe will leave the audience in splits with some interesting characters and their behaviour. The audience keeps up the expectations high as the film has enough twists that excite them. The background score, cinematography and the production values are a treat. The way the stories have been narrated without much confusion has been a treat. With an interesting concept and new age narration, Awe first half lives up the expectations.

The second half of Awe is a huge dud and it offers nothing much. Right from the first frame, it looks boring and deviated. When it comes to unfold the real plot, the film seems hurried and the audience look puzzled. The climax of the film is a huge letdown and it makes the film meaningless. On the whole, the second half turns a huge spoiler for the film and it falls flat.

Performances:

Nani leads the show along with Ravi Teja and their voice-overs bring enough smiles across the auditoriums. Kajal looks striking strong and she performed well. Nithya Menen is a treat and she looks damn sweet. Eesha has been restricted and she looks modern in a traditional role. Murali Sharma has been decent and Srinivas Avasarala’s character is useless. Priyadarshi looks apt as a Chef and all the other actors supported well.

The film lacks interesting plot and but is the narration that leaves the audience convinced. The screenplay has been decent and so are the dialogues. The cinematography along with the background score are the major highlights of the film. The production values looked lavish and the director manages to impress the audience throughout the first half.

Final Word:

Awe is one film which falls in a new genre for Tollywood audience. After a decent first half, the audience expect some interesting stuff in the second half and they will be disappointed. Awe is one film that will cater to a very limited section of audience.

Rating: 3.5/5
