Arjun Reddy Movie Story:
Arjun Reddy (Vijay Devarakonda) is a kickass medical college student who is short tempered and loves to lead his own life. He is not much concerned about what society thinks and he falls in love with his junior Preethi (Shalini Shetty) after which they stand strong in a relationship. It is during a crucial time, Preethi’s parents object their relationship and reject the marriage proposal. Things change completely after Preethi gets married and Arjun Reddy turns alcoholic. Arjun Reddy Movie Analysis:
Arjun Reddy is sure not a film for all the sections of audience. Vijay Devarakonda’s kickass attitude and his stupendous performance, bold college episodes and exceptional writing skills are the major assets. On the flipside overdose of romance, cuss words and lengthy runtime will sure not go well with all the sections of the audience. It is a celebration of sadness and the some of the episodes strike hard. The entire first half of Arjun Reddy has some high octane emotional episodes however the lengthy runtime will not go well with many of them.
The second half of Arjun Reddy too has been emotional and the realistic narration makes a massive impact. Vijay Devarakonda leads the show completely and the rugged narration is the highlight of Arjun Reddy. However the second half has been filled with many unwanted episodes and some of the scenes look dragged much. The audience will sure find it tough to watch the film for over three hours which is something not happening these days. With a simple climax, Arjun Reddy ends on a decent note.
Arjun Reddy Movie Performance:
Vijay Devarakonda is sure an actor who is going to make it big in Tollywood for sure. He has been a perfect choice for Arjun Reddy and he nailed it completely with his power packed performance. The actor’s screen presence has been exceptional and especially during the second half, he has been outstanding. Shalini Shetty has been simple and apt for the heroine’s role. Rahul Ramakrishna is a new gem for Tollywood and his supporting role is sure there to be remembered for a long time. Kanchana, Kamal Kamaraju and Sanjay Swaroop have been decent with their assigned roles.
Arjun Reddy’s story is something usual but is the screenplay, dialogues and the treatment which makes the film unusual. The film has been brutally honest and is raw packed with loads of romance, bold content and cuss words. The music and the background score strikes hard and the cinematography work tops the show. The production values look decent and Sandeep Vanga should be well appreciated for his outstanding work. The lengthy runtime may not go well with all the sections of audience.

Arjun Reddy is a bold attempt and can be called as a cult classic. It will sure impress the youth bigtime and will not appeal to all the sections. Vijay Devarakonda leads the show and Sandeep Vanga should be appreciated for his perfect execution.
